of the modern movement has drawn the intellect and the sight, but

Actual
Architecture has the ease of technological advances that everyday
flood the offices with new materials. However all these amenities
have achieved was for buildings to be deprived of presence, making
them the fruit of unbridled consumption, of the ostentation and many
times from the creator’s Ego. Today architecture is endowed with a
start system that dictates the trends as the world finds itself
grappling with political crises and austerity. All these components
have assembled an explosive cocktail when we look at the landscape of
cities only to realize that the concept of “inhabit” is degraded.

this work we aim to give back to Man, in any place of the World –
squares, gardens, glades, parking lots from big malls, etc – the
right of inhabit the planet without stratifications of any kind.

We
have done it by going back to the children’s imaginary, to the age of
dreams and curiosity and in a simple and pure way we created a
multitude of spaces that enable each one, in a singular way; to Be
and to think.

To
the image of the ordinary house we subtracted it’s mass as an
allegory to the present and to the reality we now live in; because
both rely on the way we gaze and feel them. It’s also a symbol of
change because the absence of mass gave to it a building site
character and also a lightness that emerged to oppose the image of
concrete boxes.

Within
the space of the house we laid five boxes made of white concrete in
the exterior and black in the interior to keep the game of
oppositions.

We
wander through a synesthetic route that begins from North and ends to
Nascent. Through it we primarily find the purification volume that
intends to raise our vision and audition senses.

In
the following box we find the shadows, that symbolize the air. It is
aimed for the individual to question about the visually perceptible
truth and also for the visual experience to assume tactile
characteristics – feeling with the hand the form that is observed.

Through
the pathways between the boxes we are at constant presence of the
soil, the nature, the use of the smell sense that refers to the
memories and to the quest of Man, through glades that were created
with the subtraction of the total volume.

In
a third moment the visitor is confronted with the light that
symbolizes the fire and the sense of feeling through the skin.

After
reestablished the equilibrium of the senses and the soul and mind
opened we find the last two spaces. One is a space with books and the
other with dialog, music and exchange for the house of Pink Floyd is
what each and every one of us want it to be.

With
this project we wish to return to Man a place for him to pulse with
the World, a space that appealed to solidarity and to the strength of
the use of words.

“Grande parte do movimento moderno desenhou o intelecto e o olhar, mas deixou de parte o corpo humano e as suas sensações – (…)- como também deixou as memórias e os sonhos desalojados.” – Juhani Pallasmaa
O trabalho baseia-se no encontro do Homem consigo próprio e fâ-lo através dos sentidos.
A arquitectura actual possui a facilidade dos avanços tecnológicos que todos os dias inundam os gabinetes com novos materiais. Contudo essas facilidades fizeram com que a maioria das construções sejam desprovidas de presença, são fruto do consumo desenfreado, da ostentação e muitas das vezes do Ego do seu criador. Hoje a arquitectura é dotada de um star sistem que dita as tendências e o mundo vê-se a braços com políticas de crise e austeridade. Todas estas componentes fizeram um coctail explosivo e quando olhamos para o landscape das cidades percebemos que o conceito de habitar está degradado.
Com este trabalho pretendemos devolver ao Homem, em qualquer lugar do mundo, praça, jardim, descampado, parque de estacionamentos de grandes centros comerciais, etc. o direito de habitar o planeta sem estratificações de qualquer tipo.
Fizemo-lo voltando ao imaginário das crianças, ao tempo dos sonhos e da curiosidade e de uma forma simples e pura criamos uma multiplicidade de espaços que permitem a cada um, de forma singular; Ser e pensar.
À imagem da casa comum, subtraímos-lhe a massa, como alegoria ao presente e a realidade na qual vivemos; pois ambos dependem de como olhamos e sentimos. É também uma símbolo da mudança, pois a ausência de massa deu um caracter de estaleiro aos alçados, mas também de leveza que se veio contrapor à imagem das caixas de betão.
Dentro do espaço da casa colocamos 5 caixas em betão branco no exterior e preto no interior, para manter o jogo de oposições.
Trilhamos um percurso sinestésico que começa a Norte e acaba a Nascente, nele encontramos primeiramente o volume da purificação que pretende apurar os sentidos da visão e da audição.
Na caixa seguinte encontramos as sombras, que simbolizam o ar, pretende-se que o indivíduo se questione sobre a veracidade do que vê e também que essa experiência visual assuma características tácteis, de sentir com a mão a forma que observa.
Nos percursos entre as caixas estamos em constante presença da terra, da natureza, do uso olfacto que remete para as memórias e a busca do Homem, através das clareiras que foram criadas com a subtracção do volume total.
Num terceiro momento, o visitante é confrontado com a luz, que simboliza o fogo e do sentir através da pele.
Nos dois últimos espaços após restabelecido o equilíbrio dos sentidos e aberta a alma e a mente encontramos um espaço com livros e um outro de dialogo, de música, de troca pois a casa dos Pink Floyd é o que cada um quiser fazer dela.
Quisemos com este projecto devolver ao Homem um lugar onde pulsar com o mundo, um espaço que apelasse à solidariedade e à força do uso da palavra.
